The premise

Hawke escapes Ferelden and rises from refugee to Champion of Kirkwall while political and religious tensions build over years.

How it differs from Origins

The sequel focuses on one protagonist family and a recurring city rather than six opening origins and a kingdom-wide treaty campaign.

Why Legacy matters

Legacy expands Hawke family history and introduces material that becomes important in Inquisition.
