As adult Link, learn Song of Storms in the windmill. Return to child Link and play it inside the windmill to drain the well.

The mini-dungeon contains invisible floors/walls. Follow the central route carefully and obtain the Lens of Truth from the Dead Hand area.

The Lens is the required prize for the Shadow Temple; the well also contains optional Skulltulas and loot.
