Show Zelda’s Letter to the guard in Kakariko. Before climbing, a Hylian Shield can be bought or obtained from the graveyard.

Return to the Lost Woods if needed, follow the music to Sacred Forest Meadow and meet Saria.

Wake Darunia’s mood

Enter Goron City, play Zelda’s Lullaby at Darunia’s door, then play Saria’s Song for him. He gives the Goron Bracelet.

Open Dodongo’s Cavern

Use the bracelet to pick up the bomb flower above the cavern and throw it down at the blocked entrance.
