Do safe objectives first

Once the ghost is identified, decide whether extra money/XP is worth the risk of objectives that require hunts or events.

Cursed possessions

Music Box, Ouija Board, Voodoo Doll, Haunted Mirror, Summoning Circle, Monkey Paw and Tarot Cards can provide information or force activity at a sanity/risk cost.

Bone and photos

Look for the bone and valuable photo targets during room sweeps, but do not linger after sanity drops below the team’s safe threshold.
