Doors, thrown objects, phones, sinks and motion can reveal the active region before any instrument does.

Use thermometer correctly

Cold rooms help narrow the ghost area; allow the thermometer time to settle. Freezing temperatures count only when the reading meets the game’s actual freezing threshold/evidence behavior.

Confirm repeated activity

A single interaction in a hallway does not guarantee the favorite room. Watch where repeated events and evidence occur.
